Every child is entitled to a nurturing home environment where they can thrive. However, the overall number of children living in residential care globally is probably far greater than the reported 2.7 million.
For various circumstances, kids may be taken away from their parents and placed in alternative care.
Discrimination causes some children to settle in residential care. Numerous girls and boys are compelled into institutions due to their disability (or the inability of a parent), ethnicity, gender, and sexual orientation.
Additionally, kids in alternative care sometimes live apart from their relatives and communities. Without parental supervision, kids may suffer physical, psychologically, emotionally, and social impairment, with lifelong repercussions. Additionally, these kids are more likely to be exposed to violence, abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
SO NOW WHAT’S THE SOLUTION?
There are many ways through which we can help unprivileged children-
Tutoring underprivileged children- of the best indicators of a child's success is their education. As a tutor or an ordinary citizen, you may assist youngsters to thrive in school by offering your time or money. You might teach young students English (reading & writing), cursive, math, science, or history.
Tip- One can do this by reaching out to any of the local NGOs or virtual teaching can also be done.
Making donations - Many kids lack the basic necessities. New toys, books, and clothes may significantly improve their quality of life. Working with others as a group or making small donations to charitable organizations can significantly improve the conditions of children.

Examples -
School supplies- for example textbooks
Food
Footwear
Clothes
Subsidize impoverished children- Around 400 million children live in severe poverty globally. You may assist one kid in paying for food, education, medicine, and clothing for a little monthly payment. Numerous organizations, both domestically and internationally, offer to assist you in sponsoring a kid.
“The true character of a society is revealed in how it treats its children.”
